Welcome to May! We’re nearly to the end of the school year, with less than 30 days left! This month promises to be a great one – all grades are still hard at work in their classrooms, and Fell Charter as a whole is making sure that we are still going strong.
This month hosts some exciting events! Check out the calendar below:
MAY
01 – Household Recycling Fundraiser starts! As you do your spring cleaning, donate all your old household goods to Fell Charter. Used wearable clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, & linens – we’ll take them all. And at the end of the month we’ll load them all on a flatbed truck and weigh them. Our goal is 30,000 pounds! For each pound we collect, Fell Charter gets a donation from the sponsor.
04 – National Charter School Week Begins! Monday is Sports Day: dress like your favorite athlete or support your favorite team by wearing clothes with their logo.
05 – Cinco de Mayo: wear bright colors or even a sombrero as we celebrate south-of-the-border style!
06 – USA Day: show off your red, white, and blue spirit!
8th Grade Trip to New York City
07 – Career Day: come to school dressed for the career that you want to have 20 years from now!
08 – Crazy Hair Day: go a little wild, but make sure that you’re back to normal for next Monday.
18 – School Board Meeting @ 6:30 pm
20 – 6th-8th Grade Trip to Balitmore
22 – 11 am Dismissal
Math Bee Grades K-8
25 - Memorial Day – School Closed
