tuesday, october 27th
October is wrapping up, but this last week is a busy one! We look forward to seeing parents/guardians after school today for parent-teacher conferences. Please do you best to arrive for your scheduled time; if you are not sure where your child’s classroom is, the Main Office will be open to assist you until 5 pm.
Remember that tomorrow (Wednesday) is Paragon Night, where the 2nd grade class will take us on an adventure through Mesoamerica! Come on out to support the 2nd graders, who have worked very hard preparing for this performance. And remember that after the performance, all classrooms will be open until 7:30 pm for you to see what other grades have been working on.
Friday is an 11am dismissal. Students may have individual classroom celebrations for Halloween, as determined by their teachers. Grades K-4 will put on their annual Halloween Costume Parade in the gym before dismissal.

Please remember that next Tuesday, Oct. 27th, is Parent-Teacher Conferences. All parents are strongly encouraged to meet with their child(ren)’s teacher(s) to discuss student performance and expectations. Letters were mailed to parents/guardians last week with full details. If you have questions, please contact the homeroom teacher directly.
Next week the Book Fair will be at Fell Charter. Students will be able to purchase books during the day, Monday – Wednesday. The Book Fair will also be open Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, during parent-teacher conferences and after Paragon Night.
And be sure to join us next Wednesday, Oct 28th, for another Paragon Night performance, where our 2nd grade will take us back to the times of the Mayans and the ancient rainforests of Mesoamerica!

Welcome to October! The leaves are changing and the days and nights are growing colder. Please make sure that students come to school dressed for the changing weather – sweatshirts and jackets are important!
The “Fell Students Caught Streaking” fundraiser was a success, and we thank all those students and community members who came to get a pink streak in their hair in support of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. If you happened to watch the news last night, you may have seen us – several stations came to interview participants.
Please be sure to read this week’s Weekly Warrior for important information on the Entertainment Books & Boxtops collection.
