HELP for HAITI
Dear Fell Charter Family,
Early this week the small Caribbean country of Haiti suffered a devastating 7.0 earthquake. This earthquake has all but destroyed this already impoverished country. In lieu of food/clothing donations, the Red Cross is in great need of monetary donations that can be spent based on specific needs.
In keeping with a continued effort to help our global community, Fell Charter School will be running a donation drive for the next two weeks, with 100% of money raised going directly to the Red Cross Haitian relief fund.
Our plan is as follows:
For a $2.00 donation, children can wear their favorite hat on Wednesday.
For a $3.00 donation, children can wear their favorite PJ’s on Friday.
(This will run for the next two weeks)
Students are welcome to participate on both days. Extra donations are more than welcome.
Thank you in advance for your help in this very important cause!
Sincerely,
The Faculty and Staff of Fell Charter School

congratulations 2nd grade!
We are very proud of our second grade class, who received the following letter from The Nature Conservancy!
Dear Mrs. O’Rourke,
Welcome to The Nature Conservancy! Thank you so much for your generous gift of $76.26 received on November 7, 2009 to support The Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre® program. This thoughtful gift will help to preserve and protect Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula – truly one of the Earth’s last great places and home to an array of animals, including four species of monkey, jaguars, and the country’s largest population of scarlet macaws.
Since 1990, the Adopt an Acre program has provided critical funds for forest protection for hundreds of thousands of acres around the world. In partnership with local communities, businesses and people like you, the Conservancy can continue to address the devastating impacts of deforestation and find lasting solutions to these conservation challenges.
Thank you for helping us to preserve the last great places on Earth for generations to come.
Sincerely,
Mark R Tercek
President and Chief Executive Officer

For the second year in a row, Fell Charter has won the Pennsylvania State Character Achievement Award! The award honors Fell Charter for its ongoing Character Education program and dedication to student character development.
Not only did we win the state award again this year, but our proposal was so good that it has been forwarded on to the National Award selection committee! That committee will make it’s selections in April, at which time we’ll be notified of how we ranked against schools from all across the USA.
CONGRATULATIONS FELL CHARTER STUDENTS AND STAFF!
