This April marks the 40th anniversary of the celebration of Earth Day. Fell Charter has a long-standing commitment to Earth Day and is expanding it’s range of activities to help celebrate this milestone. In addition to the usual school-based activities, Fell Charter is looking to expand its Earth Day celebration to the community.
The highlight of this year’s celebration is the construction of the Fell Charter Earth Day Nature Patio on the school grounds. The Nature Patio will be an outdoor site dedicated to environmental learning, student activities, and academic contemplation.
To support the creation of the Nature Patio, we are asking for donations from students, families, and community members. Donors will have the option of having their names cast in cement as we pour and cure our own paving stones, which will form the heart of the Nature Patio.
The stones come in three sizes; a donation of $5 will secure a small stone; a $10 donation will secure a medium stone; and a $15 donation will entitle you to a large stone.
On Friday, April 23rd, Fell Charter will conclude it’s Earth Week celebration with a dedication ceremony, at which time honorable mention will be given to donors, and the Nature Patio will be officially opened.
Please consider lending your support in this project, as Fell Charter and the community work toward a Greener future!
PLEASE, DONATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 31ST
