I know that education at Fell Charter is: students preparing for their future in a local environment that promotes cultivating passions, learning about life, learning about their local “world”, learning about each other, how their actions or inactions impact our global society and effective character development. Our students are empowered by knowledge gained through guided inquiry, assessed on authentic measures and they are taught to be reflective, responsible, contributing citizens of our world.
Our entire school program, grades Kindergarten through eight, is designed to be a college preparatory program. We know the value of a global education and agree with President Obama when he stated, “…And we will expand our commitment to Charter Schools,….those who out teach us today, will out compete us tomorrow…we must provide access to complete and competitive education….” (President Barack Obama’s first address on February 24th, 2009 to a joint session of Congress.)
Fell Charter Elementary School is for parents/guardians who desire an education that is a bit different and unique. We are focused on learning from the perspective of a rigorous, hands-on program built around Socratic Discussion and Contructivist Teaching. Our students are an integral part of the learning process. And our teachers are masters at reaching and meeting the needs of students.
